As a bowls player for more than a decade, Dave had personally experienced the frustration that comes from using the crossed finger technique to estimate distance between the Jack and bowls in determining the state of the head. Like many before him he couldn’t understand why there wasn’t a more reliable and accurate method. With this in mind, in early 2015 he set about to develop an idea that he hoped would solve the problem and the concept of the BOWLS EYE was born.
